A Little Bit About the Owner - Mind, Body & Soul

Planning The Perfect Ceremony

How We Write Your Love Story

Blessed, Better Than Blessed

A Little Bit About the Owner - Mind, Body & Soul

Hi my name is Cathy Lucidi. I grew up in Bay Shore, NY but I consider myself a "Brentwood" girl because I went to Brentwood Schools and I'm a proud 1982 Brentwood Ross High School graduate. I grew up in a very large loving nurturing Italian family. I'm the youngest of 6 - all girls. We were known as "The Sessa Sisters" My parents were the best. They had one of the best marriages to date, that I have ever witnessed. They were extremely committed and devoted to each other and were  married for over 50 years until they passed away 12 days apart back is 2003. Don't feel sorry for me - they were true soulmates. Neither one would have ever been able to live without the other - it's one of the greatest love stories I'll ever know. I don't know if that's the reason why I'm obsessed with love but I'm truly all about love. I guess you can call me a hopeless romantic and I feel that love is and always will be the answer!!!

I am a paralegal (Mind) and the Director of Community Relations at a non-profit law office called Nassau Suffolk Law Services. We provide legal assistance to low income and disabled Long Islanders. We assist them in civil matters pertaining to life's basic necessities such as food, housing, disability and public benefits, obtaining orders of protection, and we never charge a fee. We assist special populations such as Veterans, Seniors, and those with mental illness. I love what I do and have always loved helping people in any way.

I am also a Spin Instructor (Body)at Retro Fitness Ronkonkoma. I love helping people reach their fitness goals. I also love to have a party on the bike in the Spin Room. In 2020, I also became a certified ISSA Personal Trainer.

Fast forward to November 2018 when I decided to take a leap of faith and turn my love for love into something spectacular and that's when I became an Ordained Minister (Soul) through Universal Life Church Ministries.

I currently live in Lake Ronkonkoma with my husband, Tony and my son Carmine.

Planning The Perfect Ceremony

How We Write Your Love Story

  • Give us a Call  - If you're looking for a wedding ceremony catered specifically to you and that soulmate of yours, please consider Take A Vow. All it takes is a phone call, that initial conversation. Maybe you like the way we sound, maybe you don't. Sometimes you can get a gut feeling from a phone call. Okay, let's say you like the way we sound, then it's time to schedule the initial meeting with Cathy.

  • Initial Meeting - Our favorite part next to performing the actual ceremony.   Take a Vow meetings can take place at your place or ours . Whatever is convenient for the couple. We try to make it as easy as possible for the couple planning a wedding. We know how busy you both are and would never want to add any undue stress. At our initial meeting is when our relationship begins with the couple in love. It's one of favorite parts, because we love hearing the couples' love story, their journey - how they met, how they fell in love and how they knew their love was ready for the ultimate commitment of marriage.   If  after our initial meeting, you don't feel a connection, no worries we totally understand here at Take A Vow - our feelings won't get hurt - really. Even though we've meet, there is no obligation at all to sign on to use Take A Vow. This is one of the most important days in a couple's life and your happiness is our top priority here at Take A Vow.  At our initial  meeting, we will gather some specific information about your wedding day, venue,  and theme of your wedding. We'll also gather specific information about you and your soulmate - your love story.

  • Writing Your Ceremony -The next step is for Take A Vow to write the first draft of your ceremony. Note, we say first draft! Remember , as we stated earlier we want your ceremony to be perfect. We can go back and forth a few times or we can go back and forth 10 times,  to us it doesn't matter as long as our couple is happy, then so are we. Once again we here at Take a Vow will do whatever it takes to make your ceremony perfect.
